Everything after the nut graph was less focused on the celebration and instead provided information on the company’s efforts to rebrand, its philanthropic endeavors and its unique menu items.

MACY's Inc. has begun launching off-price store locations called 'Macy's Backstage.' These locations sell the same premium brands as the original Macy's stores for up to 80% off regular price. The new newest locations are in the Bronx, NY and West Orange, NJ. To open these new off-price locations, the original Macy's stores located in these areas will be closed down, causing hundreds of employees to be laid off.
